Tessa was born in Gainesville, Fl and grew up in a small town just outside. In 2007 she moved back to Gainesville to pursue her degree, and career in healthcare. Tessa joined the Powell Chiropractic Healthcare team in 2019, coming to us with 15 years of patient care and management experience. Tessa has a passion for taking care of patients, and is an advocate for the world of Chiropractic care, based on her own positive experiences. She strives to create an environment for employees and patients that will allow them to grow and heal on their path to a healthier life.
Alyssa graduated with a B.A. in Communication from the University of Central Florida and is currently working on a certificate program for Medical Coding and Billing through Seminole State College. We are so happy to have Alyssa on our team! Say hello when you see her at the front desk!
Jamie joined Powell Chiropractic in June of 2020. She comes to us with experience in the medical field, and started at our office as a Practice Coordinator. She is now a Registered Chiropractic Assistant, and certified in Instrument Assisted Myofacial Release. She is always striving to gain more knowledge, and learning ways to help patients with their healthcare needs.
Hali joined the Powell Chiropractic Team in 2019. She has a degree in Animal Science, but also loves people! She is currently working on our team as the Practice and Billing Coordinator for our office. Hali has a sweet little girl that we all love. In her spare time Hali likes working on her photography, traveling, outdoors activities (kayaking, camping, boating), and spending time with daughter and husband. Angie was born and raised in Gainesville, FL. At the age of 51 she experienced the life changing ways of Acupuncture and decided she wanted to learn more so that she could also help people. Angie has her master’s degree in Oriental Medicine and is an Acupuncture Physician. She received her training from Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine.
In Angie’s practice she employees the use of needles, cupping and gua sha along with facial massage. She also uses herbal supplements to help maintain and restore her patient’s health when needed.
Angie’s goal is to help her patient’s mind and body achieve balance, thereby restoring their health. Angie is an asset to our practice and allows us to offer the best options in patient care. We are so lucky to have her.
Jenna earned a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Dragon Rises College in Gainesville, FL. She also holds a Master of Education from Lesley University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Literature from Emerson College.
A former educator at Perkins School for the Blind and in the Boston Public Schools, Jenna continues her passion for teaching as a TA and tutor at Dragon Rises College.
